During the holidays I went to work with my parents in a warehouse down a dark ally in Kentish Town, North London. I remember the smell of dusty boxes. There was aisle upon aisle of costume jewellery treasures. I would spend my time rummaging through troves of broken jewellery and stringing together long necklaces.
